History of Our Firm
After graduating from the California Western School of Law and passing the California Bar Exam, C. Michael Finen began his career working for an insurance defense firm in Rancho Santa Fe, California, representing clients such as Allstate Insurance, IPC Gulf Insurance Co. and the City of San Diego. After several years, Mr. Finen made the decision to move away from the city and accept a position as the Deputy District Attorney for El Dorado County. This job entailed prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes within El Dorado County, and provided Mr. Finen with extensive experience, conducting both jury and non-jury trials.
In 1981, Mr. Finen left the D.A.'s office and opened a private practice in Cameron Park, California. Since then, Mr. Finen has been privileged to represent many clients in a wide variety of matters, including real estate transactions, drafting Wills and Trusts, administering decedents' estates, and handling probate matters.

During his years practicing law, Mr. Finen has gained experience in many areas ranging from working as a Deputy District Attorney for El Dorado County to opening his own practice in 1981. Mr. Finen has represented clients both large and small, whether it be a large business needing help with real estate or an individual who needs a Will or Trust drafted. Mr. Finen has been privileged to also serve as a Judge Pro Tem, Court Assigned Dispute Resolution Judge, and as a Mediator. Furthermore, Mr. Finen has also served on a Committee of the California State Bar Association.

Wendy S. Finen
Wendy Finen has spent the majority of her career helping clients in Family Law matters, both in San Diego County and in El Dorado County. While in Law School she was voted by her fellow students as the least likely to ever be asked by a Judge to "speak up." Ms. Finen is dedicated to providing the highest level of representation to her clients and strives to obtain the best results possible in every given situation. Ms. Finen's clients know that she will put in the time and effort to obtain the best result and that she truly cares about them and their case. Although Ms. Finen strives to resolve family law cases without litigation, she is not reluctant to litigate and has a great deal of experience in family law trials.

Clara Finen
Clara has extensive experience providing comfort and support to our staff and clients alike and is our firm's official greeter. She is in charge of keeping local squirrels and stray cats in line. Her organization skills are impeccable in that she can always find her ball when asked. Her hobbies include playing the piano. When you come by our office, be sure to ask Clara to perform her original piano concerto.
